Story
I’m doing the Great Limerick Run this May again (4th time in 4 years). Last year I aimed to finish in under 60 minutes and shocked myself (and everyone else ) when came in at 52 minutes!
Last year I had a target of £1,500 - and thanks to the generosity of my supporters I managed to raise an incredible £2380.28! That money is changing the lives of older Irish people in Britain but training health and care workers about the specific needs of the older Irish in Britain. This year I want to raise at least as much!
This is my forth year running for Cuimhne and at this stage, everyone I know has learned to avoid me from February until well after May for fear I will be hitting them up again. So that's why I need your support, anything you can give will make a difference. Whether that's a pound or two found down the side of the couch or if you are a company who wants to put your logo on my back as I race through Limerick City on May 1st - please get in touch with me or Irish in Britain.
Please give what you can, as I am sure you know somebody who suffered with memory loss.
Through Cuimhne, Irish in Britain are changing the lives of the most vulnerable Irish people in Britain. They are supporting services, training volunteers and campaigning to make a real difference to make it possible to live well with memory loss.
