On the 30th of August 2013 I will embarking on a 6 day trek, climbing the Andes mountains in Peru to heights of 4200m.

To finish the trek we will be climbing Machu Picchu, which is 2430m (7970 feet).This will involve hiking through tough terrain, cutting through forests, climbing snow capped mountains.

I will also be running the 'Great Birmingham Run', 13 miles through the streets of Birmingham.

Meningitis Trust (nominated for charity of the year) is a self funded charity which offers support for those whose lives have been affected by this devastating disease. The Trust helps to:

·    Increase education about the symptoms particularly amongst children and young adults; so that people can seek help before it’s too late

·    Support those that are affected by: providing a 24hour free phone help line, a home visits programme, counselling services and financial assistance
