Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As anyone who knows me will testify, I am anything but an elite athlete! But I am taking on the challenge of a 360 mile bike ride around the Ring of Kerry over 4 days with ascents of between 4600 feet and 6981 feet per day to raise funds for Hope Against Cancer. It is an amazing charity based in Leicester, which funds research projects for cancer treatments. The route is certainly very challenging, and I have managed to borrow an electric road bike to get me up the steepest mountain passes. I just hope that the battery does not run out on me!
If you are able to sponsor me for any amount, no matter how large or small, I will be very grateful, and it will make it all worthwhile!
'Hope Against Cancer is Leicestershire and Rutland’s local cancer research charity. We fund cutting-edge research in our area and have made clinical trials available to local people.
We strive for a future where more people survive cancer. We do this by funding innovative research that leads to improved treatments and better outcomes for local people.
We work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to make sure that Leicestershire is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. Since we were set up in 2003, we have funded over 60 research projects tackling many different forms of cancer."
