Picture the scene... 3 best friends in 2019 sitting in a pub one night thinking about imminent 40th birthdays approaching in 2021. First beer? What shall we do for our 40th's?? Las Vegas? Ibiza? Do we still have it in the tank at 40? 2nd beer? Wing walk? Sky dive? Then bravado strikes and for some reason we agree on Kilimanjaro. Then we book in early 2020 and as soon as we hit "confirm" dread strikes.... But we can do this.... and we can do this for Starlight as our challenge will be nothing compared to what seriously ill children go through each day.  So please support me/us to reach our fundraising target... Hopefully we can create a moment of escape through our fundraising effort from their difficult reality. 

I am sure you will be thinking, Dan are you sure? As most of you know how unfit and how unprepared for a 12 day trek I will be, so any donations for me to stay focused would be greatly appreciated. And for some of you consider the peace and quiet as I will have no access to any communication tools for 2 weeks ;). 

So please please please help support our fundraising efforts. Maybe with your help we can support Starlight with their over 30 years of wishes: helping children meet an astronaut, become a princess, ride in a lifeboat and plenty more. Maybe with a donation we can support: frontline health staff and arrange Boost Boxes, Distraction Boxes, pantomimes and a Starlight Play Week to help seriously ill children be themselves and feel less alone, who are in hospital. Or through Starlight Escapes even a pirate boating party a film screening to flying days and summer fetes, Starlight Escapes are a chance for the families  to forget their worries, meet new people and make memories together.
