Story
Thanks to everyone who sponsored me and gave their support. I managed to raise over £500 (my initial target was £200) This page is active for a while so please keep giving.
By my calculations I left London at 0900 and arrived at just after 1500 (to discover that England were already 1-0 down to the Germans. I managed to pip my friend Ed to the post on account that he obeys red traffic lights and I only had the finish line in my sights.
My 3 main conclusions about cycling is that
1. Going uphill is difficult and boring
2. Going downhill is fast and exciting.
3. England is a very beautiful country once you get past the M25.
I have to not only say a big thankyou to everyone who sponsored me, but to Rod and Kate for kindly picking me up and dropping me off at home (especially grateful for the lift home because I was so tired I fell asleep in the pub stading up, and not just because we were 4-1 down at that stage!)
If you are reading this I suggest you now get back to pretending to do some work!
