Story
A number of retired and current officers are riding from London to Paris over 3 days for a charity called Care of Police Survivors (COPS). COPS provides peer support opportunities and access to counselling services to help surviving family members (‘survivors’) rebuild their shattered lives of Police Officers who have been killed in the line of duty. We have all lost close colleagues in the line of duty or to tragic accidents so this charity is very close to our hearts and we have personal knowledge of how the charity provides support to not only the colleagues of fallen officers but also the families and loved ones of those officers who have lost their lives. We are all ex or current police officers doing this ride and hoping to raise lots of money for this charity.
Everyday officers are assaulted and seriously injured across the country doing their job. Some never make it back onto the streets due to the severity of their injuries and some sadly don’t make it back to their families.
Two years on and due to COVID we haven’t made Paris but on the 4th June we will be cycling from London around part of England, averaging 100 miles a day so please keep giving
