Story
Hi
Megan, my mate Jeremy’s daughter, was diagnosed with kidney cancer when just a year old. After a major operation, chemotherapy, pain and stress she has been in remission for over 5 years.
I knew Gerry Oliver, my mate Sam’s stepdad, since I was 9. Gerry was a great school teacher and genuinely a good bloke. He retired in July 2010, but tragically died before Christmas the same year from bowel cancer. The good do die young.
As you will know this year I’m running the London Marathon. I know I’m selfish, but I’m running that for me.
I’m running the Cambridge Half for Megan and Gerry and anyone else you want me to in aid of Cancer Reserach UK. Any pennies would be welcome.
Thanks
Dan
