Thames Bridges Trek · 9 September 2017 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Did you know that suicide is the leading cause of death for people aged 20-34?
Samaritans are there to take calls from those in despair and distress 24/7 - that phone rings every 6 seconds.
I am doing the Thames Bridges Trek on the 9th September to fundraise for North West Surrey Samaritans. It's a 25km walk, crossing 16 bridges. I know it's no marathon, but everyone knows I'm a scrawny snowflake - this is a challenge for me! I mean where do I get my protein guys?! Pray for me 🙏🏻😜
Every one of the 200 branches of Samaritans are responsible for raising their own funds, to keep their phone lines open and save those lives. The North West Surrey branch is especially close to my heart as I was one of their volunteers myself at the tender age of 18. My wonderful Mother has since become Director of the branch and has put her heart and soul into it for several years now. I know many of you have met my mother or at least know of the legend she is. If you knew me in my teen days, consider your donation a return favour for the house parties/late night taxi services/take away purchases, while also helping this worthy cause!
So donate a little or a lot, support me, my mother and the whole branch of volunteers who give up their time to support those in need.
Thank you ❤️
