Story
Some may call me crazy, but I’m taking on the challenge and running my first ever half marathon. After taking part in the Bear Grylls 10k Survival Race last year, it’s definitely time for my next running adventure!
I’ll be raising money for the Barts Charity Cardiac Fund,
which focuses on improving cardiac services across all of the Barts Trust hospitals, including St Bartholomew’s Heart Centre. My Dad has suffered with a few different heart conditions over the years, and St Barts’ Heart Centre has been pivotal to his treatment and recovery. One condition in particular, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy,
has a 50% chance of being inherited by me, my sister or two brothers, so I want to give something back to a centre which has not only already provided support for my family in the past, but probably will in the future too.
So please donate anything you can, or simply just share my Just Giving page 😊 and feel free to come along and watch me suffer on 20th May at Hackney Marshes! Alcohol and pizza at the finish line are welcomed.
