Story

I want to raise money for Great Ormond Street because they are a fantastic charity who help some of the most vulnerable people in our society - many of whom are not given a fair chance to experience the early stages of their life fully outside of a hospital.

Over the last 2 years I have really reflected on how privileged I am to be healthy and able to do my bit to help out, and as a proud uncle of three kids I have signed up to do an Olympic Plus Triathlon in August to raise some money for the children who need it and hopefully make a bit of a difference.

Whilst i am a reasonably competent runner, i can barely swim and until recently did not own a bike, so swimming for 1500m in open water, followed by a 80km cycle and finally a 10k run will be quite the challenge for me, and therefore i am asking you to help me out with a lot of support and hopefully a bit of cash to motivate me and get me across that finish line.

On top of that in September i'll be running the Medoc Marathon and attempting a 2 mile swim in the Serpentine, your generous donations will be for all three events.

Thanks, Dane
