Dane Court staff virtual trip across Europe, 4 February 2021
We provide skilled and compassionate care to people with a life-limiting illness.

Story

The staff at Dane Court Grammar School are going on a 5492 mile virtual trip around Europe visiting a landmark in each of our school houses (Barcelona, Delphi, Helsinki, Neuchatel, Sorrento and Tallinn). We are giving ourselves 2 months to complete this challenge. We want to help improve our physical and mental health during lockdown, whilst bringing us together as team and raise money for an amazingly worthwhile charity, Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent.

At its heart, Pilgrims is dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate care, free of charge, to people living with an incurable illness in east Kent. Their vision is that people with a life-limiting illness are supported and empowered to live well in mind & body, making the most of the time they have. They care for over 2,500 patients a year, at their 3 inpatient units in Canterbury, Thanet & Ashford, their therapy centres, or in patients’ own homes. With 80% of their funding being voluntary contributions, your support cannot be overstated.
