Story

Changing Charlie's Future supports Duchenne UK a charity that has one clear aim to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys.

Here at Dandara Aberdeen a group of us are going to walk a Munro on the 26th of November to try to raise awareness and funds for Changing Charlie's Future and Duchenne UK.

Until my oldest and dear friend told me about her nephew's diagnosis I, like many others, had never heard of Duchenne. A devastating diagnosis for his family, but they have shown such courage and determination to raise awareness for the disease and we are hoping to help raise that awareness even more along with some £

Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.
