As most of you will know, my beloved dancing teacher, Beryl, passed away at the beginning of this year in tragic circumstances.

At her funeral, which she had 'choreographed' herself, she requested that people donate money to Arthritis Research.  Arthritis was something she suffered with and something which prevented her from doing the dancing she loved so much.  I'm sure she would have been overjoyed if research into and treatment of arthritis had been more advanced and she had been able to keep leaping, twirling and, most importantly, tapping.

It was clearly a cause that was close to her heart for her to include it in her very comprehensive 'funeral plan' and, as such, I want to raise more funds for this charity in memory of her.

I will be attempting to run 13.1 miles on Sunday 7th September, but given all my recent accidents and injuries I am very scared!  I will probably feel like I have arthritis by the end of it......
