Motivated by the strength and unfaltering sense of humour of our youngest daughter Poppy, we as a family are committed to support The Lily Foundation and help find a cure for Mitochondrial Disease.

Story

Over the next 3 months, I will be attempting 3 mountainous challenges for The Lily Foundation

1) The main challenge is the Monte Rosa Massif which I will be completing with 11 brave colleagues and friends from Samsung. The Massif straddles the border of Italy and Switzerland and we will be attempting to complete 7 of its 10 peaks, all over 4,000m, in just 5 days.

2) Before the main event, on the 10th of July, I will be attempting to complete the Snowdonia Marathon ascending 1,685 metres over 27 miles, this epic race will circumnavigate and eventually climb Wales' highest peak - Snowdon.

3) Last of all, if I survive the first two, I will then take on the Three Peaks challenge with 2 friends in late September. Climbing the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours

The Lily Foundation was founded in Lily's memory, having lost her battle to Mitochondrial Disease at just eight months old. The charity aims to give hope, answers, and support to the many other children and families that face the challenges of this disease today. Did you know every twenty minutes a child is born who will develop Mitochondrial Disease by the age of 16! There is no cure for this disease which is for many, debilitating and life-limiting. Please stand with us and fight Mitochondrial Disease and fight for hope.
