Story
We are aiming to raise £1345 - £1 for every metre climbed for our nominated charity - Centred (formerly Birchwood Highland).
We are a group of local authority employees who through our work come across a range of people from different backgrounds and situations - including those affected by mental ill health. We all know someone who has been affected by mental health issues, in fact 1 in 3 of us will be affected at some point in our lives. That's why we want to help by devoting our personal time to try to raise as much cash as possible to a local charity that can help these people. This is why we have chosen Centred.
As part of our training regime we are aiming to climb ' a munro or more a month'. We are kicking this off with 'Little Wyvis' (which is actually a corbett) in February at a height of 764m.
March through to May we will be tackling:
A' Mharconnaich and Gail Charn - 975m.
Meall Chuaich - 951m.
Ffion Bheinn - 933m.
Ben Wyvis - 1046m.
Ben Macdui -1309m
Cairn Gorm - 1244m.
Finally on Saturday 10th June 2023 we will be climbing Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis at a height of 1345m.
Please donate to this fantastic cause. Your money can and will change someone's life for the better.
