Hi there! My name is Dan and I'm a first year Geography student at Loughborough University and I'm running 26.2 miles in the Amsterdam Marathon for Refugee Action because I believe a future is possible where those forced to flee the homes they loved can receive a safe and warm welcome in the UK. The difficulty of the marathon pales in comparison to what refugees face whilst trying to escape to safety.

I have wanted to run a marathon since I started running and Refugee Action is the perfect charity because their hard work makes a massive impact to thousands of lives from around the world. Because of this I am aiming to complete the marathon in under 3:30!!
