Story

On April 28th I'll be running my first London Marathon! I'm doing this to help my friend's 5-year-old daughter, Vicky, see for longer.

Vicky is gradually losing her sight - she has a rare disease called Leber Congenital Amaurosis. Currently there is no cure. It typically leads children to blindness by their late teens.

With your help, the sponsorship money I raise will go towards a research project - started by Vicky's parents - testing therapies to hopefully slow down the progression of the condition.

I've not run a marathon before and will be taking on a full training schedule, covering 400 miles over 50 hours, across a 17-week period. I'm really grateful for your support!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
