Story
After running the Bath Half in 2017 and running for sanity in lockdown, I’ve toyed with the idea of training for a full marathon. After being inspired cheering on a friend at the London Marathon last year (and them subsequently giving me a very stern ‘motivational’ pep talk), I’ve decided 2023 is the year to do it so roll on Amsterdam in October.
I’m running for Blood Cancer UK which is a charity doing great work for a cause close to my family’s heart. I know times are tough and I’m not setting an ambitious target, but whether it’s a quid or a fiver, I’d be grateful for anything and everything you can give.
Feel free to hold me accountable on Strava as well to make sure I actually stick to my training plan: https://www.strava.com/athletes/43511127
Thank you x
(Already thinking about my post-marathon Amstel)
A bit about Blood Cancer UK 👇🏼
We're a community dedicated to beating blood cancer. We do this by funding research and supporting those affected. Since 1960, we've invested over £500 million in blood cancer research, transforming treatments and saving lives. Right now, our community is funding 360 researchers and staff across the UK who are searching for the next breakthrough. The day we will beat blood cancer is now in sight and the researchers are determined to finish the job.
