Story
This year, I am running the 2020 London Marathon in aid of Treloars Trust, an outstanding School & College for disabled young people.
Founded in 1907 by the Lord Mayor of London, the Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training to young people with physical disabilities from all over the UK and overseas. Their aim is to prepare these young people for adult life, giving them the confidence and skills to achieve their full potential.
Treloar’s is a registered charity with most of their income coming from fees paid by local authorities or by private funding but they also need to fundraise approximately £2 million every year to provide additional therapies, support and equipment to keep Treloar’s at the forefront of education and services for physically disabled people.
Since accepting this challenge, it has come to light that Sir William Purdie Treloar who established the Fund is in fact a distant relation on my mothers side and so I now feel as though I have a personal connection to the Trust.
Please help me by donating as much as you can to help fund this fantastic charity and enable them to continue their brilliant work.
