I have joined Team Derian to raise funds to help children with life-limiting or life-shortening conditions in the NW of England. Derian House Children's Hospice provide respite and care for children and young adults across the whole of Lancashire, the South of Cumbria and the North of Manchester.

In the 90s they supported my sister Ellie who sadly passed away in 2001. Some of my happiest memories with Ellie were at Derian House and I'll always remember their staff as some of the kindest and most caring people I've ever come across. The respite care also gave my parents support in looking after Ellie who had a condition that required round the clock care. 

This is my way of remembering my sister and giving back just a little to a charity that gave so much to us.
