I have decided to take on the challenge of running the London Marathon in October 2022 for the National Deaf Children’s Society. I started running properly during the lockdowns and in 2021 starting doing group runs (2x half marathons and multiple 5ks). This year I want to take it a step further and complete a 26.2 mile marathon. One of the reasons I have decided to support this charity is because every child should have the same opportunities in life no matter what.

• £480 will give a deaf child the chance to go on a weekend activities event where they can make friends, gain confidence and be included in the same way as any other child.
  
• £30 means a deaf child can have a vibrating alarm clock that will help them to wake up independently for the first time.
  
• £547 will allow Deaf Child Worldwide (our partner charity) to pay for a sign language course for teachers in India.
