Story
For anybody who knew Bob you would remember what a relaxed, kind hearted and wonderful person he was. When Debbie and I first bought a house he was there helping me replace the kitchen, fitting new windows and even moved a door frame because his daughter had to have the massive dining table she saw in the shop. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and gradually his health deteriorated. At first we had to laugh as he fitted our carpet upside down and then blew our electrics fitting a cat flap however he soon became so ill that even the simple tasks like walking was not possible on his own. Bob passed away on 27th March 2011 a complete shell of the man he once was and to watch a great man deteriorate to such a degree was heart-breaking, not long after his death his brother was diagnosed with the same illness and died a few years after. I am so grateful that I now have the opportunity to run the London marathon and raise some money for https://www.parkinsons.org.uk please see their website as anything I type will not do them justice. I would hugely appreciate any donations you could make for this organisation and in response I will drag this old lump of a body I have around London for 26 miles…sounds fair right?
