As we're all Lloyds Banking Group colleagues, any funds raised will receive matched funding by LBG, meaning that alongside gift aid, for every £10 raised, £22.50 will actually be received by the charities.

Our 2017 Charity Challenge will incorporate both a 140 mile cycle/hike across the historic landmark of Hadrian's Wall. There are 13 members of the team taking part, with 6 members of the team completing a 3 day 50 mile hike, whilst the remaining 7 members will complete a 2 day 120 mile cycle, before joining the rest of the team for the final day 18 mile hike!

We are raising money for 2 charities 'The Sick Children's Trust' and 'Mental Health UK'. Any donations for me will go to 'Mental Health UK'.

Mental Health UK is a network of 4 national charities working across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to improve the lives of people with mental illness, and to support carers.

The Sick Children's Trust provides free, 'home from home' accommodation for families with sick children in hospital. One of our colleagues, Helen Locke has been staying at their house in Leeds for the past 6 months as her son James has been undergoing treatment at Leeds General Infirmary. The trust have made things easier for her at a really difficult time, as they do for many families.
