Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many will know, this time last year our little boy Robert was still in Medway Hospital receiving personalised care from the amazing nurses working on the Neonatal Unit. Born on 5th Jan 2016 at 27 weeks 3 days gestation and at just 1.205kg (2lb 10oz!), Robert spent 9 weeks in hospital where, with the incredible care given by the consultants, doctors and nurses on the unit, he fought off Meningitis at only 10 days old and bounced back strong enough to finally come home with us.
We will be forever indebted to everyone who looked after Robert and we will continue to help raise funds to improve the unit and help out other families who find themselves at Medway Neonatal Unit. The work the Oliver Fisher Special Care Baby Trust (OFSCBT) carries out really does help those families caught in very trying and emotional times.
The Deangate turns Meangate 8km assault course CHALLENGE falls just days before the anniversary of Robert coming home so this is one of the reasons I chose this event. My 10km run last year had amazing support and thank you again to all who donated, I'm hopeful that we can raise a good amount again this time.
