Event: The Big Leaaap 2022, on 9 April 2022
Welcome to East Anglian Air Ambulance's Big Leaaap page. Our team will be taking on this thrilling skydiving challenge on 9th April 2022. When you support our dare-devils with a donation, you'll be helping to keep our helicopters flying!

Story

The East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community. The crews are tasked an average of 8 times a day across the two bases, with each mission costing in the region of £3,500.

To help keep its helicopters in the air, myself and other members of 'Team AJN' will be strapping ourselves to a bunch of complete strangers and chucking ourselves out of a perfectly good aircraft.

Some say skydiving is an amazing and exhilarating thing to do but being uncomfortable (afraid!) at (of) heights, I'm not exactly looking forward to the experience. I genuinely had wobbly knees and broke into a sweat climbing a ladder to hang our Christmas lights on the guttering last year!

I'm sure I'll be smiling when I'm back on the ground though and any donation you can give will make it all worthwhile. In fact, don't donate for me. Donate simply because the Air Ambulance is a crucial, life saving charity that relies on fundraising donations to continue to do the amazing work it does.

Thank you.
