We raise vital funds to Support Sick Children in CHI Hospitals

Story

Social Climbers Cycling Club: Raid Pyrenean page

Fundraising for Children's Health foundation
We have decided to fundraise for the Children's Health Foundation and would greatly appreciate your support.
The Raid Pyrenean cycling trip is self funded by the 8 participants of the Social Climbers cycling club and, therefore, all proceeds raised go directly to the Children's Health Foundation.

The Raid Pyrenean.
The famous Raid Pyrenean route starts in Hendaye on the Atlantic coast and finishes in Cerbere on the Mediterranean.
On June 5th 2022, 8 members of the Social Climbers Cycling Club will attempt to cover the 760km and 16,000m of climbing through the Pyrenees over a 6 day period.
The route takes in some of the toughest climbs of the Tour de France such as the Col de Marie-Blanque, Col d'Aubisque, Col de Pailhères and the mighty Col du Tourmalet. In total there are 14 categorised climbs to be covered in the first 5 days.

Fun Fact:
Apparently twenty percent of cyclists who attempt the Raid Pyrenean don't make it...as to what happens to them thereafter, I'm not really sure !?!

Please wish us luck.
Many thanks.
