We provide specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

My brother John and I are getting ready to go the distance (see what I did there...?) and run the Belfast City Marathon on Sunday 5th May.

In February this year, our Mum – Lucy Cranney — left us after a long battle with Renal Cancer. Lucy was larger than life, loved by a lot of people and leaves a big void. We were humbled by a massive turnout at her funeral but before the end, she spent two extended periods in the care of the amazing people of Northern Ireland Hospice.

She spent several months in the Somerton Road Hospice – receiving care and support from the Palliative care team and staff. But we also know that she kept them entertained too.

So in tribute to the hospice, the big lad and I are lacing up to face down the streets of Belfast. We would love to make as big a contribution to the Hospice as possible and we need your help.

Please give as little or as much as you can and thanks in advance for your generosity towards sustaining this incredible organisation that supports countless families across Northern Ireland.
