Story
In April 2023 i will be running the London Marathon for Mary Ann Evans Hospice🏃🏼♀️😬
In February last year my Grandad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he spent 2 weeks in hospital and was discharged to spend his last week at home. This was a huge shock and an extremely difficult time for my family. The support of Mary Ann Evans meant that we could spend as much time as possible with my Grandad. We had a team of nurses and carers who came out several times each day (and night) to make sure my grandad and family were looked after. They provided personal care, medication, advice, support and even had a 24 hour team who would come out at a phone call. It costs just over 2.2 million pounds to run the hospice for 1 year and this money is all provided by fundraising and donations. I’m fundraising because we really benefited from this and i’d like other families who are in need to be able to access the same support that we did. 💜💛
