Story

10 years ago this August, Daisy was nearly 6.

She was diagnosed with a brain tumour the Wednesday before the bank holiday weekend and on the Thursday had a very long surgery to remove it.

Fortunately for us, the tumour was not malignant, but its location and the surgery left Daisy with significant physical issues which she has and still is learning to overcome.

One of her achievements is learning to walk unaided again, and one of her goals is to work as a zoo keeper, so we are all taking part in this safari walk to raise money for the fantastic hospital that continues to support her in so many ways. Daisy is planning to walk the entire distance without any physical support - not even an arm to hold on to, but to be honest even if she does hold on for a bit, it'll be a major milestone for us all.
