Story
As a member of the Women's Netball League and the MIU Netball club in Birmingham, I am committed to our aims and goals to help those in need in Yemen and work as part of a wonderful and inclusive community of netballers.
The netball community is coming together in a collaborative effort to support humanitarian efforts, get people active and fit together.
I hope you can support me, my team and the WNL league in our collaboration with Islamic Relief to raise funds for Yemen, a country on the edge of famine.Millions of people are in need of humanitarian aid with families facing ongoing armed conflict, displacement, disease and economic decline with an estimated 24 million people in need of humanitarian aid to survive - a figure so high that it is in fact the highest across the globe. Yemen now officially hosts the world's largest human-induced food security crisis. Families and communities have been torn apart and left without even the most basic of living essentials:- 19.7 million people need basic healthcare- Almost18 million people are in need of water and sanitation facilities- Over 3 million people have been left displaced by conflict.Islamic Relief is on the ground in 17 of the country's 22 governorates, providing essential food aid to families at risk of famine and facing extensive food insecurity. With your support we can help these communities in their hour of need.Donate Now and help save lives.
