Daffodils are starting to appear, as we come out of winter and spring approaches, with a fantastic abundance of colour to brighten up our days ahead.
I am fundraising for the Irish Cancer Society for the month of March. I have signed up to walk 9,000 steps each day during March and I am looking for your support and your donations.
Each year The Irish Cancer Society have a fundraising day called “Daffodil Day” on the 25th of March, when The Irish Cancer Society raise much needed funds to help in the fight against cancer, which unfortunately can affect one in three people.
My daughter Charlotte was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2018 at the age of 11 and went through two neurosurgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, we got the devastating news last month, that Charlotte developed another brain tumour and again she had surgery to remove it. The good news is the surgery was a success, but the road ahead will be a difficult one, with another six and a half weeks of radiotherapy and possibly twelve months of chemotherapy. I will be fundraising while Charlotte goes through her treatment, and I will be right behind Charlotte and everyone else fighting cancer, pounding the streets every 9,000 steps.
