Young people turn to Make-A-Wish for a whole range of gaming wishes, from owning games equipment or meeting their favourite streamer to developing their own computer game. For these gamers, playing video games isnt just a hobby it can be a vital lifeline. It allows them to be themselves and stay connected with friends and family without the confines of illness, hospital and treatment.
Dylan was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2017. He had to undergo a lot of intensive treatment. He spent a month in hospital and then had to have physio to learn how to walk again. During this time he was isolated from his friends.
A new PC from Make-A-Wish has had a very big impact. Its allowed him to keep up with his friends throughout his illness and treatment, even when he couldn't get out of the house.
But wishes like Dylan's cost money. And so I'm raising funds to help grant them!
