Story
Giving up was never an option. No matter how big the obstacle, how scary the thought, how long the road or how huge the step...he...would...never...give...up.
Each day was a battle. A battle with the body that couldn't move quick enough...that didn't have the strength. A battle with the head shouting thoughts to surrender. Each day was that battle that he fought with the faith that things would get better because...he...would...never...give...up.
It wasn't rocket science. As long as the motion took him forward he was winning. One step in front of the other. Each day at a time. Happy thoughts...and more happy thoughts. Strength beyond strength because...he...would...never...give...up.
Then why would we?
He was our guiding strength. He was the ladder over the obstacle. He was the voice soothing our fears. He was the feet that carried us. He was the army that fought with us. He was the day that turned our years. He was that happy thought.
That thought that teaches us to...never...give...up. That thought that says whatever we put our minds to we can achieve. That thought which sees the Vraitchies this year completing the London to Southend 52 mile bike ride on July 20th, for our Daddy with the help of the Narwals. A challenge, that second year on, sees us putting ourselves through the limits.
So...training has begun. Bikes have been prepped. Trainers have been dusted. But the most important thing we need is the support from our nearest and dearest angels. Our target this year is £2,500, we achieved an amazing £2,390 last year with all your help.
So dig deep...we need your help to mend broken hearts because we know that even with his broken heart he...never...gave...up.
RIP Daddy
Gone...but never forgotten.
