Story

One in four children and young people live in poverty in Scotland. For many, the issue is so acute that some families have to make the heartbreaking decision each day as to whether it is more important to heat their house or sit down to eat.Funds from the STV Children's Appeal provide practical help like food and clothing, or create opportunities for training and employment, or supply social and emotional support to help affected young people overcome their difficulties.I am taking on the Dundee Cyclathon Challenge over 3 days at the start of October to help raise funds for the STV Children's Appeal. The STV Appeal targets its support to the most needy children and families in Scotland and many of these are in Dundee and Tayside.
