Story
Every 27 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with lymphoma. Lymphoma is the 5th most common cancer in the UK. It's also the most common cancer among young adults (aged 15-24 years.)
This August it took a very personal turn, when my father was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In spite of the difficulty of diagnosing this complex blood cancer, lymphoma is a chronic condition that can often be managed with the correct medical intervention and support.
Lymphoma Action works tirelessly to support everyone living with lymphoma who needs their help. This extends beyond those diagnosed to family and friends, and the amazing healthcare professionals who support all of us.
Lymphoma Action provides medically endorsed information and emotional support via telephone & LiveChat helplines, their website and through a range of printed material. Lymphoma Action also runs over 50 regional support groups, plus specialist workshops for doctors and nurses, patients and their carers.
I'm cross training for 27 minutes a day for 27 consecutive days to raise funds to support other families who need help.
£270 would fund a support group for a whole year. Anything you can donate to help me reach my target (and keep me on track!) will be hugely appreciated. Thank you so much.
