🏃♀️ About me and my fundraiser
Hello! Thank you for fighting homelessness with me by supporting my fundraiser.
Over the past few years I've tried my best to raise mental health awareness as part of Mind, the mental health charity. I've shared my lived experience with depression... But I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must be when people end up on the streets. Poverty and mental health are extremely interlinked. Nobody should be going through the trauma of sleeping rough.
Therefore, I want to dedicate my half marathon fundraiser to the Single Homeless Project (SHP). All your donations will be directly transferred to SHP via this Justgiving-page.
I'd really appreciate your support in this... let's end homelessness together. 💪

🏠 About Single Homeless Project (SHP)
Each day across all 32 London boroughs, SHP's staff work with individuals to tackle the underlying causes of homelessness, such as poor mental health or drug and alcohol dependency.
"With 40 years of expertise and a London-wide reach, we make a difference to more than 10,000 lives every year." - SHP
Often that means being there for people at a critical time, whether to:
- Prevent their eviction or help them off the street;
- Get them into drug or alcohol treatment;
- Support them with their mental health;
- Help them find a job and a flat so that they can take the final steps to living on their own.
Perhaps most important of all, their work restores hope to people who might otherwise feel forgotten, left behind or written off, providing crucial footholds in their recovery journey from which they can go on to build independent and fulfilling lives.
💙 How your donation makes a difference:
- £48 = two 1-to-1 therapy sessions helping a Londoner work through trauma and get back on track
- £25 = a 1-to-1 employability session helping a Londoner find their dream job and leave homelessness behind for good
- £10 = an emergency parcel for a Londoner coming off the streets
