Cycling the Line
Two guys cycling the entire WW1 Western Front trench system, that is approx. 550 miles from the Swiss border to the Belgian coast. The aim is to cycle this over 11 days (trying to average 50 miles a day) and to arrive at Nieuport on Armistice Day (November 11th).
Most people think we are mental for trying to do this, but we are looking upon it as a challenge - and it should be a laugh as well, as long as we don't get run over by any French lorries...
We want to raise ten grand for the Legion. It is a great charity that provides invaluable support to ex, and current servicemen and women. In our eyes they are all hero's and this is just our way of saying thank you. Along the way we will be stopping off and paying our respects at cemeteries and memorials, and maybe the odd 'estaminent'...
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal British Legion gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So get your cash out and sponsor us now!
Cheers
Steve & Scott
