Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My good friend Harvey - the man I blame for my obsession with cycling - sadly suffers chronically with MS, this disease has robbed him of the many of things he cherished about life but he continues to try to fight the illness.
Therefore, to try to help Harvey and others like him I am giving you the opportunity to see me suffer like never before, and I know you all like to see me suffer!
Instead of just one challenge, you will get three, yes three lots of suffering for one donation - even Tesco can't beat that deal.
So in April I will embark on the Tour of Flanders, a spring classic in the cycling calendar, 150km over the cobbled roads in northern in one day.
Then shortly afterwards in early June I intend to ride across the Pyrenees, to try and complete Europe’s toughest cycling challenge from the Atlantic coast down to the Med, over 18 mountains, 720km, 11,000 meters of ascent in under 100 hours.
Then come July to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the introduction of The Col du Tourmalet into the Tour de France I shall take on the Etape du Tour again, this classic mountain stage of the TDF tackles three mountains all over 1000 metres and finishes atop the Tourmalet at 2115 metres.
I am eternally grateful for the support that many of you have shown to my various charity missions in the past and I hope that you will support me again this year.
