Story
Part of recovery from my recent PEA surgery is consistent, appropriate exercise, and I do this best when I have a challenge!
So, I've decided to use it as an opportunity to raise money for a couple of good causes by doing a sponsored cycle on my new e-bike. The distance I chose is the distance of a round trip taking in the four hospitals where I've received care this year: Wrexham Maelor, Royal Liverpool, Royal Hallamshire, (Sheffield) and Royal Papworth (Cambridge).
I have until the end of the year to complete it using the Conqueror app to keep track of everything and hopefully raise £250 for each charity.
I chose Liverpool Hospitals as one of my charities because of the excellent care and support I receive as a patient. They deal with the most complex part of my healthcare, and do it with excellence, patience, compassion, kindness and humour.
ABOUT THE CHARITY
Raising funds to purchase specialist equipment, improve facilities for, and benefit patients, families, and staff at Aintree, The Royal and Broadgreen Hospitals.
