Could you power through the miles to help us beat dementia sooner? We're challenging you to take on between 100 and 500 miles in 30 days.

Story

From 17 April to 17 May, I am taking on the challenge of having to cycle 100+ miles in a month. In the average time it takes you to cycle a mile, one person will have been diagnosed with dementia.

Each day the cycle will be tracked via Strava. Which will be uploaded onto the JustGiving page.

The coming months are set to be tough and COVID-19 will hit people affected by dementia the hardest. This also means that our ability to ramp up support for the people who need us is at risk. We are estimating the scale of deficit to be in the millions, both as a result of COVID-19 and the impact on our fundraising income. So we’re asking you to go the extra mile and sign up now to take part in our Cycle for Dementia challenge.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
