Story
On June 22nd we will be flying out to Washington DC to start a 3 month cycle trip covering over 4200 miles from the Washington Monument all the way to the Pacific Ocean. To do this we will be cycling over 60 miles a day 6 days a week. Our trip will take us through 10 states, 3 mountain ranges and Tornado Alley, not to mention altitudes up to 11,500 feet. Each night we will be camping in various campsites, churches and town/state parks, braving the elements and bears/dogs/mosquitoes. We will need to eat over 5000 calories a day to replenish what we burn off whilst cycling.

We have decided to take this opportunity to raise money for the NSPCC.
The NSPCC is a charity dedicated to preventing cruelty to children in the UK. In September 2008, the NSPCC launched its Child's Voice appeal to answer more children's cries for help. Every day, thousands of children and young people need to talk to ChildLine about a problem they face, while hundreds of caring adults call the NSPCC Helpline, worried about a child's safety.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
