UK Charities have been hit catastrophically by the effects of the global pandemic...

So as lockdown restrictions were lifted, we decided to set ourselves a challenge that would celebrate the things we had previously taken for granted; our well being, companionship, and the Great British outdoors, whilst coming back together as a group of friends to raise money for an incredibly worthy cause.

In search of a challenge that might entice people’s attention and support, we decided that as novice cyclists, we would set out to undertake the UK’s most iconic and gruelling cycling challenge; Lands End to John O Groats.

From the rolling hills of Lands End in Cornwall, Britain’s South West extremity, to the majestic highlands of John O'Groats in Scotland, Britain’s North West extremity, we will traverse over 980 miles.... in just 9 days! Some days climbing to elevations of 8500ft!!!

Momentum Children’s Charity supports children with cancer and life-challenging conditions, living in South West London, Surrey and West Sussex. They look after the entire family during times of unimaginable strain, not only the children but their parents, siblings and grandparents too. Their team of Family Support Workers work closely with struggling families to offer personally tailored support, both at home and in hospital; including counselling, creative therapies, special experiences and respite breaks. Momentum are there whatever the outcome, for as long as they’re needed, so that no family has to cope alone.
