Earlier this year we lost our lovely Ruth Marmion. 

She was truly one in a million and we miss her every day.  She was the heart and soul of Chew Valley School and many students, ex-students and parents have so many memories of how she helped them. 

As a school community we wanted to do something to remember her by so we are raising funds for Marmion House to continue to do the work that Ruth was so passionate about.

Marmion House will replace Lakeview House ; it will be a space where professionals, for example the school nurse, social workers and school staff, can work with Chew Valley students who are in need . We would like to completely refurbish the house to make it a  more pleasant environment to be in. We would also like to add a sheltered area in the garden and, if we raise enough, to add a conservatory-type building where students can practise mindfulness exercises. It will be a  calm and nurturing environment for those that need it most.
