Story
I am running a Trail Marathon in order to raise money for the Hospice at Home West Cumbria. More details will be given below on the charity. I chose Hospice at Home West Cumbria because of the fantasic work they did for My granda before he passed. Theres nothing more my Grandar enjoyed than a pint of John Smiths, cheering on the liverpool and with doing both of these obviously meant being in the pub were he was most happy! My granda was a hard working family man who done what it took regardless were work took him to put food on the table. As you can see by the pictures he had a cracking moustache too. So until the marathon i will grow my moustache too see if it can be nearly as good as his for race day. Myself and Matthew Nicholls will be taking part in what will be our first ever marathon. Please can everyone donate even if it's a few quid every little bit adds up to raise money for this charity and the amazing work they do!!
Hospice at Home West Cumbria have been caring for patients, their families and loved ones for over 33 years and we need to ensure we can continue to provide this care. Our nursing team are continuing to provide care in patients homes at this critical time and this care is only possible due to the fundraising efforts of our staff, volunteers and supporters in the West Cumbrian community.Unfortunately, Coronavirus has already had a huge impact on our fundraising efforts. Our main fundraising event KAPOW! has had to be cancelled, community events have been cancelled and our charity shops are closed. This will leave a huge gap in our income and we need to bridge this gap. We are the only provider of Hospice services in West Cumbria and we need your support more than ever to make sure we can continue doing what we do. .Please donate whatever you can to our Emergency Appeal and share our page far and wide.
