Story
This page was set up as a result of an initiative from former Wolves captain Karl Henry, working with Wolves Foundation (of which he is an Ambassador) and the Wolves Former Players Association to raise funds for the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
Former players and staff, as listed below, donated to the page along with Wolves' supporters, to help the Trust increase the capacity at Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The fund followed substantial support from the Wolves first team squad and staff with a six-figure donation to the Trust, along with the donation of PPE to local hospitals and care facilities by club owners, Fosun.
Several prizes were also given out to those who had donated, including matchworn shirts such as the one worn by Joleon Lescott in the 2003 play-off final, and coaching experiences with Karl, Matt Murray and Danny Batth.
The fund was also helped by separate Just Giving pages following generous donations of items by Wolves fan Steve Plant, Denise Dennison (wife of former Wolves winger Robbie) and Wolves programme artist, Louise Cobbold.
