Today is Giving Tuesday, and I'm writing to ask you to help children like my son Quincy “Qube” Purnell III. When Qube was 3 years old, I found him unresponsive in our home. He was rushed to a local hospital near our Mississippi home where doctors ran extensive tests and diagnosed him with Glycogen Storage Disease, which causes very low blood glucose levels.

While we had a diagnosis, doctors could not identify how to get Qube to thrive — eating without stomach pain and gaining weight. I was desperate for help. Despite being three hours from our home, I turned to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for the expert care Qube needed.
