Having got the running bug, Emily and I took part in the Nice to Cannes marathon on 30 October 2022! Jon, who has never done a run event before took  on the 20k event from Nice to Villeneuve-Loubet. Although I had to stop at 28km due to injury, Emily and Jon smashed it and completed each event  

This all started in Manchester when myself and Emily finished the 10km event. We’re now taking on the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 16th April 2023!

We are fundraising for Asthma + Lung UK. They help support people who live with Asthma, COPD and other respiratory problems.

Although Callum’s Asthma is mild, it can still impede him from taking part in sports. COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) on the other hand can impact everyday life. Simple trips to the corner shop become a challenge and some people may require the use of a mobility scooter. Depending on how severe the condition is, some people may require an oxygen tank everywhere they travel. Imagine the feeling of an elephant on your chest whilst carrying/pulling an oxygen tank with you. That's the best way to describe a day living with COPD.

Our dad, Colin, suffers from COPD and receives some amazing care and support from the NHS and Asthma + Lung UK. 

Times have been tough over recent months with a handful of visits to hospital for our dad. He has received incredible support from the incredible NHS staff. We want to avoid this happening again and not only for him, but anyone else suffering with respiratory problems. Support from Asthma & Lung UK is imperative and the use of a nebuliser makes a lot of difference. 

1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute.
