How many lawyers does it take to row a dragon boat?

Womble Bond Dickinson's team of 'athletic', fire-breathing rowers will be competing in Power2's inaugural 'Power2Paddle' fundraising dragon boat race on Thursday 19^th May 2022. Eleven of our brave employees at WBD have volunteered to take to the rocky waters. The team of (very) inexperienced rowers will be participating in a rowing tournament involving a number of races throughout the afternoon with the aim to raise as much money as possible for the charity. The team will also be organising various office-based fundraising efforts such as a 'Donate Your Commute' initiative and special offer Krispy Kremes(!) plus more to reach their target. 

WBD has an established commitment to serving local communities and assisting with charity fundraising. We have a long-standing partnership with Power2, whose programmes are designed to develop crucial life skills, improve confidence and boost self-esteem through mentoring and positive psychology. Their aim is to nurture the assets, talents, resources and abilities of children and young people. This inter-corporate event will raise funds to provide urgent support for young people across the UK who are struggling with their mental health, wellbeing and academic engagement.
