This event reflects a core part of the Minster's mission:  musical education within the Croydon area and the nurturing of the Anglican Choral tradition as a wider ministry.  The psalms will be sung to traditional Anglican chant; some of the music by Croydon composers such as Thomas Walmisley, Martin How and Peter Nardone.

The choir will be accompanied and led by Tom Little, the Minster's Sub-Organist, and Simon Hogan, Assistant Director of Music at Southwell Minster.  The church will be open and the public is encouraged to drop in to listen.

In addition to being a place of worship and superior choral music, the Minster reaches out to the local community through providing a food bank, shelter for the homeless, counselling for those affected by drugs and alcohol, education and activities for young people, meeting opportunities for the elderly and study opportunities ranging from philosophy to dance.
