Story
Cromer staff will be undertaking a big 100 Challenge inspired by Captain Tom, to support the purchase of equipment at the new cancer unit at Cromer & District Hospital. Staff from Cromer will
be covering a 100km distance between 30th April and 3rd May.
This is being completed by running, swimming, cycling or walking. Staff will be racking up the km’s by doing lunch time walks, active travel to work and evening/weekend runs and cycle rides, using mobile apps or fitbits to record their routes and distance.
This is a fun event so some staff plan to dress up in fancy dress or wear bright and colourful clothes to help spread some colour and positivity, all whilst adhering to current social distancing rules.
Shelley Christopher has been busy planning a 1km and 5km route around Cromer for participants to follow, Helena Stearn has been busy rustling up the troops and Alex Hannah, a Health & Wellbeing Champion; has shown amazing enthusiasm and support in getting the event up and running and getting Cromer staff involved.
